"Kaplan," along with his parents, who work as volunteers, lives in a foreign village that is increasingly affected by the approaching war. One day, like everyone else, they are forced to leave the village. At the last moment, Kaplan notices a small fish struggling to survive in a muddy puddle of water. No matter what, he will take it with him. The small group, consisting of the Guide with his donkey, the mother, father, Kaplan, and the Fish, sets out on their journey.
