Success and failure

By constantly hearing that being first, getting the best grades in class, earning more money than our neighbor, or having the most beautiful car in the neighborhood are essential, we come to believe that life is a race and the only important success is to surpass others. However, what is considered success in the eyes of others may not necessarily mean success for us. So, what then is the true measure of success?
